About Us

The Lunt-Fontanne Theatre has been stopping foot traffic on West 46th Street since 1910, and its reputation hasn't softened with age. Rated 4.7 out of 5 across more than 4,000 reviews, this Broadway house earns that score the hard way: production after production that leaves audiences genuinely stunned. First-timers and seasoned theatergoers consistently say the same thing after the curtain falls: they didn't expect it to hit that hard.

The theater is currently home to Death Becomes Her, the stage adaptation that has audiences reporting it exceeded every expectation they brought through the door. The mezzanine delivers strong sightlines, the staff keeps the house running smoothly even when trains run late, and the room itself, with its ornate plasterwork and warm amber lighting, makes the whole experience feel like an occasion worth dressing up for.

Situated in the center of the Theater District, the Lunt-Fontanne is a short walk from the 42nd Street and 49th Street subway stops, surrounded by pre-theater dining and the full electricity of Midtown Manhattan on a show night. Box office hours run seven days a week, so there's no scrambling to catch someone before they close.

What We Offer

The box office at Lunt-Fontanne is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM and Sunday from noon to 6:00 PM, giving you a real window to ask questions, pick seats, or handle will-call without the friction of automated systems. Seating spans orchestra, mezzanine, and balcony configurations, with the mezzanine drawing particular praise for its balance of price and perspective.

Group bookings, accessibility accommodations, and premium seat selections are all handled directly through the venue or its official ticketing partner at BroadwayDirect.com. The theater is fully ADA accessible, and the front-of-house team has a track record of handling last-minute hiccups, from delayed trains to late arrivals, with patience and professionalism.

Beyond individual tickets, the Lunt-Fontanne hosts special events, opening nights, and touring productions that rotate through the Broadway calendar. Checking the current season early is worth it: popular shows like the current run sell out quickly, and the best seats go first.

"This was my very first Broadway show, so this review is from a total novice but I absolutely loved it. We arrived about 10 minutes late due to a train delay, but the show hadn’t started and the staff was incredibly kind and efficient in getting us to our seats. The theater was packed, and we were the last two to be seated. We sat in the middle mezzanine, and thanks to the sloped layout, our view was completely unobstructed. Honestly, there isn’t a bad seat in the house. The sound and lighting were excellent, and the scene transitions were seamless, everything felt effortless and magical. Restrooms are available on both the upstairs and lower levels; skip the upstairs lines and head downstairs. Overall, a fantastic experience and perfect for solo, date, family, or group outings. I can’t wait to return!"

"Went to see Death Becomes Her on stage, and it completely exceeded all expectations. I already loved the movie, but I didn’t know what to expect from the show—and it turned out to be absolutely incredible. So much fun from start to finish. The costumes are unreal, the humor is sharp, and the acting is outstanding. Everything just works perfectly together. Easily one of the best shows I’ve ever seen—would highly recommend."

"I saw the 2:00 showing of Death Becomes Her and it was absolutely amazing. 10/10!!!! I arrived before 1:30 and the line was long, but started moving quickly within minutes. I sat in the mezzanine in the two seater. My only complaint is the railing was too close (not recommended if you have long legs). Otherwise, I am looking forward to seeing another show at this theater!"

"Death Becomes Her My fiancée and I absolutely loved this Broadway show—it was laugh-out-loud hysterical from start to finish. The humor was sharp and perfectly timed, the singing was powerful and polished, and every number felt like a standout. The sets were truly amazing and added so much energy and visual excitement to the production. It was the kind of show that leaves you smiling long after the curtain comes down, and we would happily see it again."

"Death Becomes Her is pure Broadway joy, funny, flashy, and wildly entertaining from the first moment to the final bow. The show is laugh-out-loud hilarious, packed with sharp comedy and deliciously over the top moments that know exactly what they’re doing. The leading ladies are absolutely incredible. Jennifer Simard and Betsy Wolfe are a dream pairing, fearless, funny, vocally thrilling, and completely committed. Their chemistry is electric, and they bring the perfect mix of camp, heart, and star power. And Michelle Williams is spectacular. She commands the stage with confidence, warmth, and powerhouse presence, adding another layer of excitement to an already phenomenal cast. The costumes are stunning, bold, glamorous, and jaw-dropping. Every look feels like a showstopper. The lighting is absolutely on point, elevating the musical and enhancing the magic with precision and style. Death Becomes Her is Broadway at its most fun, big laughs, incredible performances, and a visual feast. If you want a night of pure entertainment with performers at the top of their game, this show is a must-see."
